Cordobán is not an invented name: it is the tanned leather that carried Spain's name across Europe for centuries, long before "luxury" was a word that needed explaining. From it also comes "cordobán" as a craft — and "cordwainer" in English: the shoemaker who works this leather.

At Casa Cordobán we chase neither trends nor mass production. We choose materials that age well, shapes that do not expire with a season, and the kind of quality you notice by touch before you read it on a label. A loafer should not shout — it should simply be well made.
